Karen’s focus is on building and construction law. Her experiences include:
Advising on contentious matters which consist mainly of representation of clients in building amd construction litigation matters in Court as well as arbitration proceedings conducted under the ICC, SIAC, PAM, AIAC and SIA Arbitration Rules.
Advising and drafting building and construction agreements, consultancy/management agreements and bespoke contracts.
Acting as junior counsel for a consultant in the Malaysia Royal Commission of Enquiry for the collapse of the Second ramp of the Second Penang Bridge.
Acting as junior counsel for a contractor in the Malaysia Royal Commission of Enquiry for the Tanjung Bungah landslide incident in Penang.
Acting for a developer in Court in respect of disputes in relation to defects for a residential development.
Acting for a contractor in an arbitration matter involving a facility/building project in Malaysia.
Acting for a joint-venture company in an arbitration matter involving a development of a transport hub project in Malaysia.
